One month ago today, I said goodbye to my husband. Saddest day ever. I guess the "Streets on Fire" benefit in Portland went well, and around $1,100 was donated. Thank you to everyone who went, and donated money or bought raffle tickets. I guess there are prizes left over from the raffle, and an Ebay account will be set up to sell them.

For those of you who couldn't make it, I have set up a few options to donate. You can use the PayPal button below to donate instantly, or if you don't have a PayPal account and you want to donate, there are a few more options:

Go to any WellsFargo bank and donate under Irene S. Saxton, The Jacob Stults Foundation account.

Or, you can send a check to this address and I can deposit the check.

The Jacob Stults Foundation

This is the Jacob Stults Foundation Blog. I am Jake's wife, Irene.

Jacob was born on October 10, 1978 and passed on May 9, 2010, due to a tragic skateboarding accident which resulted in severe brain trauma.

Jacob and I met online..of all places! We fell in love and became engaged six months later and married on July 25, 2009 in Homer, Alaska. We built our dream cabin in Homer and spent our winters in Portland, Oregon, where Jacob was a math and computer science teacher at Oregon Episcopal School and was working on his second Masters degree and PhD in Computer Science.

Because of the severity of Jacob's accident, he was hospitalized and on life support for 2 and 1/2 days. As you can imagine, the hospital and medical bills are astronomical. We did not have medical insurance.

I am very appreciative of the support I have received from my family and friends. Words cannot express my gratitude.

I have established "The Jacob Stults Foundation" at Wells Fargo Banks to help defray the medical expenses. A link to the account will be posted at later date.

I thank you in advance for any monetary contribution you are able to make to help defray the medical expenses.
